At Johnston County Public Schools, we believe that every student deserves a safe, supportive, and healthy environment to learn, grow, and thrive. We recognize that navigating youth substance use—whether it’s vaping, alcohol, tobacco, or other substances—can feel overwhelming for families. You do not have to walk this path alone.
Our Substance Use Intervention (SUI) framework and RISE UP program (Rising Above Challenges, Choosing Healthier Paths) are built to meet students and families right where they are. From proactive prevention education and restorative learning pathways to intensive support and recovery navigation, our goal is to empower students with healthier coping strategies while standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our parents and community.
