The Johnston County Board of Education recognized several outstanding staff and students at their Jan. 19 meeting.
Every month students and employees who have demonstrated excellence in the classroom, in athletics, in schools, or in the community are recognized by the board.
The Johnston County Board of Education recognized Jaylon Snowden, a student from Benson Elementary, for demonstrating compassion during the month of December.
