TDap & Meningococcal Information
Changes in the North Carolina Immunization Law requires all children entering 7th grade to receive the following two vaccines:

Tdap Vaccine -  One booster dose of Tdap vaccine for individuals who have not previously received it and are entering 7th grade or by 12 years of age, whichever comes first.

Meningococcal Vaccine – One dose for individuals entering 7th grade or by 12 years of age whichever comes first.

The Johnston County Health Department will be administering these vaccines on the following clinic dates/times:

Tuesday, September 20, 2016            3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Tuesday, September 27, 2016            3:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Appointments are also available during summer months. Call for appointments: 919-989-5222 or 919-989-5272. In an effort to help us plan, and avoid wait times, we would encourage each parent to call the Health Department to schedule an appointment for their child.

If your child has insurance other than Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield or Coventry, please contact your child's doctor regarding this vaccine.

An authorized adult (18 or older) must be with the child and a copy of child's immunization record should be brought with you to the appointment.
