Highly Qualified Teacher Assistant Requirement
Based on federal law, candidates seeking teacher assistant positions in Title I schools must meet a minimum set of requirements in order to be employed. These requirements include but are not limited to:

     1) an associate or bachelor's degree, or
     2) a minimum of two years of college (48 semester hours), or
     3) have completed the WorkKeys Skills Assessments and have earned 96 professional development hours.

Transcripts and/or attendance certificates will be required as documentation. Such positions will be noted on the Current Openings page as "HQ."
