Good evening, Pirate Parents! As many of you may have already seen, Pokemon Club permission forms are now available in the Media Center. Pokemon Club will begin Thursday 3/14 from 4:30-5:30pm and continue each week on Thursdays for 8-10 weeks depending on scheduling. You will be notified when the last meeting will be! Students may come by in the morning or during their Enhancement time to grab a form for guardian review, approval, and signatures. Please review all details within the permission form. Forms are due Friday, 3/8 to the Media Center. Have a great night!

Last night, JCPS celebrated the 2024 Leading with the Heart recipients!💝 The event, inspired by Mike Krzyzewski’s book, “Leading with the Heart,” recognizes those staff members throughout the school system that demonstrate leadership, compassion, and heart on a daily basis. One person from every school as well as central services was nominated by their peers, because of their unwavering commitment and dedication to their role. Attention Pirate Families! There is a school in Wilson that is less fortunate than us and is looking for books to put in their library that are current publications, ie The Bad Guys, Dog-man, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, I survived series just to name a few. If you are able to, please send hardcover books that are new or gently used for us to donate to the school library in need. Check out this amazing artist! When Elena was in the fifth grade at CHES, she won 1st place in the state in the 2022-2023 Young Artist Competition. Congratulations, Elena. That is a great piece of art. Even though you are now at the middle school, you will always be a Pirate!

Congratulations to Sam Evenson for winning the CHES spelling bee and representing our school at the district competition. He did an amazing job!
