Melissa Butts

Mrs. Melissa Butts, Assistant Principal

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the proud Assistant Principal of Corinth-Holders Elementary. My name is Melissa Butts, and I consider it an absolute honor to have been given the opportunity to serve the families of Corinth-Holders Elementary School and the surrounding community.

Allow me to provide you with a brief overview of my background and experience. Prior to assuming this role, I held various positions within the field of education. I have served as an MTSS Coordinator, AIG Facilitator, K-12 STEM Educational Specialist, and School Improvement Coach for both Nash and Wilson County Schools.  My journey in education began as a dedicated teacher in Wilson County, where I also had the privilege of coaching girls soccer. I pursued my undergraduate degree in K-6 Education/Special Education at Barton College, and later went on to earn my master's degree in School Administration from East Carolina University.

I firmly believe in the power of collaboration. Together, we have the ability to achieve extraordinary things. I am confident that by working together, we will create an environment where all our students can thrive.  I am looking forward to partnering with each and every one of you as we continue the rich tradition of excellence and student growth that Corinth-Holders Elementary School is renowned for.
