Dr. Angela Hill is a passionate and results-driven school leader with more than 20+ years of experience in curriculum and program design, staff development, and coaching educators to implement high-quality instruction. Dr. Hill has worked with Johnston County Schools since 2022. This is her second year as Principal of Dixon Road Elementary.

 Dr. Hill is a North Carolina native and from a family of educators and loves education so much she married an educator. They are the proud parents of two beautiful girls and two reckless cats.

Mr. Bates has been an educator for twenty-four years. This is his fourth year at Dixon Road Elementary and his fourteenth year with Johnston County Public Schools. Mr. Bates is a native of Harkers Island, NC. He and his wife, Wendy, are the parents of three children: Sullivan, Caison, and Shawn Jr. They are also the grandparents of two grandsons: Payton Gray Tant, Jr and Ira James Tant.
Mr. Bates enjoys spending time with his family, serving in church, helping those he meets, and boating with his family.
