NC PreK Program

The purpose of the NC PreK program is to provide high-quality educational experiences in order to enhance kindergarten readiness for four year olds who are at risk for school failure. The program is community-based, voluntary, and designed to prepare at-risk four year olds in North Carolina for success in school. Children served in the NC PreK program must meet age requirements, income eligibility, and service priority criteria. Johnston County’s NC PreK program is managed by the Partnership for Children of Johnston County.
