During the September 10, 2024, regular scheduled meeting, the JCPS Board of Education received and reviewed a total of six (6) drafted maps - two for each grade level - and has provided the maps below for public viewing and to receive public input.

JCPS will be opening a new elementary school and a new high school – Swift Creek Elementary and Wilson’s Mills High – over the next two years. In addition to drawing boundary lines for the new schools, the proposed JCPS Assignment plan will also consider boundary adjustments designed to better balance school crowding across the district. The proposed assignment changes will take place over the school years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027.

The assignment plan will be implemented in two phases, as our newest two schools are opened.
