Safety and Security
Crisis Management
The Johnston County Board of Education is committed to the safety and security of all our students, employees and campus visitors.
In an emergency situation, we must be able to contact you. Please provide accurate emergency contact information (phone numbers and email addresses) to your child's school at the start of the year. Update your contact information with school staff as soon as it changes.
The Johnston County School System has procedures in place to protect your child and communicate with you in the event of an emergency. Our department works with school staff, law enforcement and other health and safety officials to make our school campuses safe learning environments.
The Security Advisory Panel meets with the Deputy Superintendent periodically to address safety and security concerns. These issues are addressed as needed by the Board of Education.
The Johnston County Principals and Assistant Principals Association’s Safety and Security Committee meets on a regular basis to address safety and security concerns. These issues are addressed as needed with the Superintendent.
