Laurie Kallenbach, receptionist at East Clayton Elementary, is JCPS November Classified Employee of the Month.
The first impression is always a lasting one, and at East Clayton Elementary, Ms. Kallenbach always makes the best first impression. As the receptionist, she is the first person everyone sees when they enter the school.
Kallenbach handles almost everything, and does it with a smile. She manages school safety, transportation issues, copies and laminating, sickness, daily announcements, is the backup data manager, and sometimes even the staff therapist.
When she is away, the school runs less efficiently. Kallenbach knows all the students by name, and is invested in building relationships with their families. She ensures teachers and staff are appreciated, and plans events to keep morale at the forefront. Her attention to detail, and the extra attention that she shows East Clayton Elementary visitors always makes a lasting impression.
