Meagan Leas, a math teacher at Archer Lodge Middle is the January 2024 Certified Employee of the Month.
Leas always has the best attitude, and is a wonderful teacher and co-worker. She is always doing whatever is needed at Archer Lodge Middle for the students and staff, even tutoring before and after school three days a week to help students meet or exceed their potential. "She is loving, dedicated, hardworking and one of the best teachers I have ever worked with," said her nominator.
Leas will volunteer to cover a class if needed during her planning, and she also volunteers to help with after school events like movie night and school dances. She is positive, upbeat, and has high expectations for students.
Using her own money, talent, and time, Leas made personalized keychains for all of her students, and the self-contained exceptional students and teachers. The children were so excited to have a special gift from Ms. Leas. "I always look forward to seeing Ms. Leas throughout the day because she always puts a smile on my face."
Principal Matt Johnson shared that he can’t say enough great things about Leas, and she is most deserving of this recognition.
