This is Carolina Romero’s first year at Princeton Elementary School, and someone recently asked, “What did we do before Carolina?” A more telling question is “What were we not doing for our students and families before Carolina?”
Romero spends her day ensuring that all families feel a part of Princeton school family. Her ability to translate and communicate with Spanish-speaking families has transformed relationships and increased communication throughout the building. She makes others feel seen and heard, has a kind spirit, and her presence brightens a room. Romero also treats everyone with respect and compassion.
Always a team player, she is always asking how she can help. Romero substitutes and covers classes when needed, makes copies, makes attendance calls, translates for meetings, and even takes calls after hours when needed. Princeton Elementary School is a better place because of Carolina Romero.
