Assistant Principal Grant Johnson is an amazing administrator at Smithfield-Selma High (SSS), and an overall asset to Johnston County Public Schools (JCPS). Johnson is an educator who is passionate about all aspects of education and programs that benefit kids' development.
In his first year with JCPS he has not only fulfilled his job duties, but expanded beyond those duties dedicating himself to service for his staff and his students. He has enthusiastically joined in the pride of SSS as if he's been there for years. He is quick to inquire about systems and cultures that are in place, and has contributed to the growth for all its members. A trusted adult to many students who would otherwise fear the administration, Johnson is also constantly a reliable ear for teachers at any available moment.
Grant Johnson is deeply passionate about high quality teaching in today's classrooms that empower student and teacher autonomy. JCPS is lucky to have him as an assistant principal at SSS.
Congratulations and JCPS looks forward to many more years!🎇
