Destiny Mishue, Mariacamila Varela and Celeste Vigil-Lara have been announced as semifinalists for the 2024 Dell Scholars program. The Dell Scholars program is a scholarship and college completion program made to assist and empower students on their path to a college degree. The program is designed as a support system to help students throughout the college journey. 500 students are chosen each year to become Dell Scholars. The scholars are awarded with a $20,000 scholarship, essential technology, academic and personal support, and financial aid coaching.
These semifinalists are all members of Clayton High School’s AVID program. If these students are selected as award recipients in the spring, they will attend a 4-year university to obtain a bachelor’s degree. Dell Scholar recipients will be announced in March 2024.
