Clayton High FCCLA attends State Leadership Conference

Greensboro, North Carolina – Members of the Clayton High School chapter of FCCLA joined over 800  high school family and consumer sciences students at the annual State Leadership conference held on March 18th through March 20th at Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The following students received recognition of scoring within the Top Five of their event:


Pyper Taylor and Morgan Brown - Event Management - Level II - 1st Place

Jordan Alvarez, Caylee Earp, Olivia Shechtman and Daisley Vargas Acosta - Parliamentary Procedure - Level II -  1st Place

Haven Prescott and McKenzie Everette - Promote and Publicize FCCLA - Level II -  2nd Place

Hayden McKinney - Teach or Train - Level III - 2nd Place

Mallory Woodall - Career Investigation - Level II -  3rd Place

Leilani Pleasant - Chapter Service Project Display - Level III - 3rd Place

Desire Lyons and Destiny McElyea - Interpersonal Communications - Level III - 3rd Place

Haelee Moone - Job Interview - Level II - 3rd Place

Peyton Brock and Savannah Keith - National Programs in Action - Level II - 3rd Place

Clayton High School FCCLA has a membership of 55 students. Advisors are Heather Bryant, Portia Eiden and Shelley Roberts. 

Competition finalists who received first and second place will advance to international level competition at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference that will be held June 29 - July 3, 2024 in Seattle, Washington.

“We are excited to be able to provide our students with this experience.  It allows them to meet and create friendships with students from all over North Carolina.  They are able to showcase their hard work and gain valuable life experiences in the process ,” said Heather Bryant, advisor.
