First Robotics

Clayton High student, Sloan Mann, is part of an all-girls FIRST Robotics team. There are over 3,500 teams globally. Her team, G Force, was one of 600 teams that qualified to compete in the FIRST Robotics World Championship in Houston. Out of the 600 teams, G Force was one of only 8 teams to win the FIRST Robotics Championship Engineering Inspiration Award. This prestigious award automatically advances her team to the 2025 World Championship. Because of this award, their registration fee is paid by NASA! Sloan is the team's lead robot driver and is part of the mechanical build team. For more information on the competition, read this article reported on by CBS 17.
