Camping scene, s'mores, paper spiders

FOES has the best related services team! Take a look at what our speech, occupational and physical therapists have been up to this past month!

Our speech therapy students are gearing up to go camping! Themed-lessons are a fun way to teach our students and provide hands-on activities. Students spend one week learning new vocabulary, sequencing and problem-solving related to camping. Then the therapy room is turned into a real campsite with a tent, sleeping bags and s’mores! Yum!

Our occupational therapy students are practicing their cut and paste skills to create colorful fall leaves and google eye spiders!  Students are motivated to use creativity while building their fine motor skills.  More fall themed activities promoting growth with school-tool use and fine motor skills to come!

Our physical therapy students are working on their gross motor skills that help them better access the school setting, including areas like the bus steps and the playground. Incorporating holiday themes into obstacle courses and games help facilitate progression with these skills.
