Innovation Academy Principal Mrs. Elizabeth Patton is the next incredible educator we are recognizing for #NationalPrincipalsMonth! Mrs. Patton began her career with Johnston County Public Schools at Clayton Middle. As an educator, she has served as a middle school teacher, high school assistant principal, and central office administrator. After spending seven years in the high school world, Mrs. Patton was excited to return to middle school and is honored to serve as the principal of Innovation Academy. 🤩

JCPS wrapped up the 2023-2024 school year ranked 35th in the state overall! 💪 Now we are future-focused on our 2029 goal of being in the top 20% in the state. With the best teachers, students, and parents giving their all, we will get there! 📚🏫🎓 #GreatThingsAreHappeningInJCPS

With the guidance of exceptional educators, our students continue to excel! 😎 According to the academic growth data, from the 2023-2024 school year, 54% of our schools exceeded growth, compared to the state average of 29%. 💪 #GreatThingsAreHappeningInJCPS

JCPS continues to improve its school performance grades! 🌟 We are proud to announce that 89% of our schools received a school letter grade of A, B, or C according to recent data, surpassing the state average of 66%. This is a tremendous increase since 2018, when 65% of our schools were identified as the same. Through dedication and hard work, three schools moved from a letter grade of C to B, and four schools moved from D to C! 👏 #GreatThingsAreHappeningInJCPS

JCPS communities came together in an extraordinary way for our neighbors in Western North Carolina! 🌟 Donations from our schools for the Hurricane Helene Relief filled three dump trailers, three 3 box trucks, two pickup trucks, and two vans! This outpouring of kindness, compassion, and generosity is what our school system is built upon. We thank everyone involved in this effort! We continue to keep everyone affected by this devastating event in our hearts! ❤

Thousands of supplies. Hundreds of donors. One common goal…helping those in their time of need. ❤ Today our Facility Services team gathered supplies from our schools, which were Hurricane Helene Relief donation sites. In a few hours, these supplies will be transported to Western North Carolina. Thank you to the many, many students, parents, and staff who have responded promptly and compassionately. Also, a special thanks to Johnston County Government and the Johnston County Sheriff's Office for allowing us to partner with you in this effort. 🤝

As we provide critical assistance to our neighbors in Western North Carolina, here's a reminder of our district's partnership with Johnston County Government's Hurricane Helene Relief Effort. Did you know... JCPS is 1 of 12 districts to exceed pre-pandemic achievement? Not only that, six of our amazing schools exited low performing status. All student subgroups are above pre-pandemic achievement, and JCPS is closing the achievement gaps. #GreatThingsAreHappeningInJCPS
