JCPS wrapped up the 2023-2024 school year ranked 35th in the state overall! 💪
Now we are future-focused on our 2029 goal of being in the top 20% in the state. With the best teachers, students, and parents giving their all, we will get there! 📚🏫🎓
#GreatThingsAreHappeningInJCPS
We continue to grow and improve each & every day! 🌟
JCPS English learners showed more improvement than the state average in back-to-back years! 👏

One last reminder that there is no school tomorrow, Tuesday, October 22, 2024, for JCPS students on the traditional calendar. 📅
JCPS showed exceptional growth for the 2023-2024 school year❗
Eleven schools are no longer on the Assisted Targeted Support and Improvement list. JCPS is moving forward! 🚂

JCPS is raising the bar of academic success! ⬆
We were above the state average for all EOG/EOC subject areas in grades 3-8 and in high school Math 1 and Biology. ✨
#GreatThingsAreHappeningInJCPS
With the guidance of exceptional educators, our students continue to excel! 😎
According to the academic growth data, from the 2023-2024 school year, 54% of our schools exceeded growth, compared to the state average of 29%. 💪

JCPS continues to improve its school performance grades! 🌟
We are proud to announce that 89% of our schools received a school letter grade of A, B, or C according to recent data, surpassing the state average of 66%. This is a tremendous increase since 2018, when 65% of our schools were identified as the same.
Through dedication and hard work, three schools moved from a letter grade of C to B, and four schools moved from D to C! 👏

JCPS communities came together in an extraordinary way for our neighbors in Western North Carolina! 🌟
Donations from our schools for the Hurricane Helene Relief filled three dump trailers, three 3 box trucks, two pickup trucks, and two vans! This outpouring of kindness, compassion, and generosity is what our school system is built upon. We thank everyone involved in this effort!
We continue to keep everyone affected by this devastating event in our hearts! ❤
Thousands of supplies. Hundreds of donors. One common goal…helping those in their time of need. ❤
Today our Facility Services team gathered supplies from our schools, which were Hurricane Helene Relief donation sites. In a few hours, these supplies will be transported to Western North Carolina.
Thank you to the many, many students, parents, and staff who have responded promptly and compassionately.
Also, a special thanks to Johnston County Government and the Johnston County Sheriff's Office for allowing us to partner with you in this effort. 🤝
As we provide critical assistance to our neighbors in Western North Carolina, here's a reminder of our district's partnership with Johnston County Government's Hurricane Helene Relief Effort.
The region is in dire need of new, unused blankets. As you continue supporting the relief efforts, place these at the top of the list.
Thank you!
JCPS continues to exceed the state average graduation rate! 🎓
In 2024 our graduation rate was 91.3%, well above the state average of 86.9%. 🥳

ECA students, with the exception of December graduates, will participate in our Fall Advisory Day tomorrow, October 3. Students should attend college classes like normal, but instead of attending high school classes they will meet with their high school advisor to review important information about scheduling JCC classes for next semester, look at updated high school 4 or 5 year plans, and check in on student progress for this semester's classes. Quarter 1 ends tomorrow, so this is the perfect time to check in with each student to ensure they have everything they need to be successful. Parents and guardians, we encourage you to ask your child about what was shared so that you can be involved as well.
It's National Custodial Workers Day! 🌟
JCPS is honored to celebrate these remarkable team members who work relentlessly to ensure our students and staff have a clean and safe learning environment. Custodians work behind the scenes, but are essential in education!
A special THANK YOU to these heroes! ❤

JCPS is 1 of 12 districts to exceed pre-pandemic achievement?
Not only that, six of our amazing schools exited low performing status. All student subgroups are above pre-pandemic achievement, and JCPS is closing the achievement gaps.
