Area medical institutions are offering free and/or reduced cost medical services for Johnston County Public Schools.

UNC Health® Johnston will be offering free physicals for students on select dates in July, August, and September at one of three JCPS locations. In addition to a physical by a doctor, students will receive a hemoglobin check, eye examination, and hearing check. Campbell University provides a Community Care Clinic weekly on Tuesdays from 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm . They provide physicals, treatment for minor medical concerns, basic lab work, vaccinations and more. Appointments are required for services. The Tuesday Evening Clinic Location is located at 40 Autumn Fern Trail, Lillington NC 27546 (First Choice Health building). Please see contact information below to schedule an appointment. When making an appointment please provide the following information: your name, date of birth, reason for visit, and desired appointment time and date.

OrthoNC offers sports physicals for $10 from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm seven days a week at their Raleigh and Knightdale locations. No appointment necessary! To complete the patient portion of the sports physical form prior to your exam please print the OrthoNC Sports Physical Form and bring it with you to your exam. All children under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian or can be brought in by their coach as long as the forms have been signed by the child’s parent or legal guardian.

  • Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

  • Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Your child may not be allowed to attend attend school without these immunizations as NC Immunization Law requires all children entering 7th and 12th grade to receive the Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines.

If your child has insurance other than Medicaid, please contact your child's insurance regarding coverage of these vaccines. Vaccines not covered by your insurance (or out of network) will require payment prior to administration.

An authorized adult (18 or older) must accompany the child to the clinic. Please bring a copy of the child's immunization record and insurance card.
