Friday, March 8th five of our FFA members traveled to the 2024 North Carolina FFA Middle Grades Rally held at NC A&T University. Ally Edwards Lavely serves as our FFA Advisor. We are excited to announce that our Exploring Biotechnology team placed FIRST IN THE STATE! The team consisted of Aubrey Faircloth, Savannah Creech, Dalton Langston and Savannah Keen.
Dalton Langston and Savannah Keen were also recognized as the highest scoring individuals, as they received perfect scores! In this contest, FFA members are tested on their knowledge of biotechnology tools, processes and practices. They had to identify various biotechnology tools and complete a written test.
Georgia Fulkerson also competed in the Prepared Public Speaking Event. She did a great job reciting her speech on Women in Agriculture to a panel of judges. It was a great day for NJMS FFA!
