JCPS is looking for Reading Buddy volunteers to help our students this summer! We need parents, grandparents, community members, and high school students to join our Summer Reading Camp participants during morning arrival. Volunteers will listen to and encourage students as they develop their reading skills. No experience is required, but you will need to register and be a volunteer with JCPS before you begin. Under the guidance of local emergency officials and out of an abundance of caution, JCPS will operate on a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. Everyone is encouraged to drive with caution when traveling.

Christmas Break is just a couple of days away!🎄🎁 For students following the traditional school calendar, Wednesday, December 20, 2023 is an early release day. Then students will be out of school from Thursday, December 21, 2023 - Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Students return to school on Wednesday, January 2, 2024.

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, all JCPS campuses will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 22 - Friday, Nov. 24. 🦃

Johnston County Public Schools is proud to announce its Focus Schools Math Tutoring Program, designed to provide additional instruction to 2nd, 4th, and 7th grade math students at various school specific locations. In this program, students at Benson Elementary, Riverwood Middle, Selma Elementary, Smithfield Middle, and South Smithfield Elementary will have the opportunity to receive supplemental instruction that will help propel them to academic success! Tutors can earn up to $30 per hour based on licensure and welcomed to apply today!!!
