Purpose: Summer Learning supports three different student needs.
Credit Recovery of a course that was previously failed
First Time English IV for summer graduation
First Time Course with NCVPS for Acceleration
Credit Recovery: Students who need to recover credits in order to graduate or meet promotion standards will be given teacher support and monitoring during Summer Learning. This is for credit recovery only. Transportation will NOT be provided.
In Person or Blended Credit Recovery: Students will attend face to face to get support from certified teachers. Students should bring a snack and must provide their own transportation.
Virtual Credit Recovery: There will be some required office hours that students must attend virtually. Students who need to recover credits in order to graduate or meet promotion standards will be given teacher support and monitoring during Summer Learning.
English IV First Time for Summer Graduation: Student is required to attend face to face, from 8:00 - 12:00 daily. Students will receive support of a teacher and will be eligible for summer graduation.
First Time Course with NCVPS for Acceleration: There are a limited number of seats for students interested in course acceleration (taking a first time course to get ahead).

Days: Monday through Thursday
Hours: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
EOC Retesting: June 26 or 27
Transportation, breakfast and lunch are NOT provided.
June 19th is a Virtual Only Day for the Juneteenth Holiday.
No Summer Learning from July 1st through 4th for Independence Day. Students may still complete work virtually during the holiday.
Priority Deadline to complete summer learning registration form is
Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
Students may register after this date for spring semester failures.
