Students had to learn a short vocal passage and rehearse it to specified standards. Soprano singers needed a score of 93 or higher, and altos needed a score of 85 or higher to be accepted. All Smithfield Middle School singers that auditioned scored high, but this group of three scored exceptionally high, thus making the Johnston County Middle School All-County Chorus.
