CHHS Class of 2024 Graduation Practice will be Thursday, June 6. Start time is 5:00 pm promptly. Dinner will be served to those in attendance.
Hello , this is your principal Kenneth Bennett contacting you with a very important announcement. On 5.28/24, the JCPS Board of Education approved for Mrs. Melissa Hurst, current principal of Princeton Elementary to step into the principal role at CHHS. Mrs. Hurst is an exceptional educator who has strong leadership skills and years of experience at all school levels. Please know that my tenure here as interim has been very rewarding. I have enjoyed working with the students, families, and staff. We have achieved lots of things together and I look forward to seeing even more great thigs in the days, weeks, and years ahead. Although this announcement is being made, please know that I look forward to finishing this year strong. We have achieved lots of great thigs this years and I do not want anything to prevent us from doing our absolute best on the remaining exams. Congratulations to 76 Freshmen who were inducted into the CHHS 2023-24 Freshman Honor Society last Thursday! These students kept all grades at an A or B, performed at least 8 hours of community service and demonstrated leadership throughout the year. #piratesonboard

This past Friday, CHHS Health Science students learned more about biomedical careers with guest speakers from Novo Nordisk. The Health Science department would like to thank Novo Nordisk for their continued support of our students.

At this time, all Seniors and Juniors with last names between A-F who purchased a yearbook should report to the Davy Jones Locker to pick up their purchase.
CHHS needs a cell tower!! Your support would be greatly appreciated at two upcoming local government meetings!! Please plan on attending the Cell Tower Meeting during the Smithfield Town Planning meeting on May 21st at 6:00. Also, the Johnston County Commissioners meeting on July 15th at 6:00.

Yearbooks will be available for pickup next week during Pirate Time at Davy Jones Locker by students on their designated day. If students miss pickup time, they must wait until the following week. Books will be available in room 345 for pickup starting on May 20th. Students picking up after May 20th can come during Pirate Time or between classes. Students cannot pick up yearbooks for another student.

"Feeding The Future, One Mind At A Time". CHHS Food & Nutrition and Agriculture students recently took a field trip to the Agroecology Educational Farm at NCSU. Classes enjoyed a tour then got to get their hands dirty with planting, pulling weeds and moving tarps!
