Good evening Meadow Families. I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend. This is the final announcement for the year. I would like to thank all of you for your support and efforts to help Meadow School be the best it can be. Our preliminary results look good, but there is still some work to be done. Several of you were contacted by teachers about the opportunity of re-testing. We understand this is after the school year and may cause an inconvenience. We encourage those students to return for remediation on Friday June 7 and retest on June 10, 11. Other announcements for this week are: Tuesday is awards day and the schedule is: K-1 from 8:45-9:45, 6th-7th 10:00-11:00, 4th-5th 11:15-12:15, and 2nd-3rd 12:30-1:30 Wednesday is 8th grade promotion ceremony from 9:00-11:00, and Thursday is the last day of school and we will dismiss at 1:20. Again, thank you for all you have done and we look forward to seeing you at awards this week.

Good evening Meadow families. We hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend. We have just a few announcements tonight. First, our Elementary Field Day was a huge success. Our students were able to have a fun filled day as we get ready for the end of year activities. Our students have worked extremely hard all year and we have seen tremendous growth with our kids. As our 3-8 grade students get ready for their Reading EOG on Thursday and Math EOG on Friday, we are sure they will do their best. As we look at the last few weeks of school here are some important dates and times. Monday May 27 is the Memorial Day Holiday and school will be closed. 5th and 8th grade students will take the Science EOG on Wednesday May 29. On Tuesday June 4 we will celebrate with Kindergarten and 1st grade from 8:45-9:45, 6th and 7th grade form 10:00-11:00, 4th and 5th grade from 11:15-12:15, and 2nd and 3rd grade from 12:30-1:30. Good evening Meadow Families. We hope you have had a wonderful weekend. To all our mothers or mother figures, we appreciate you and hope that you had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I would like to thank the Meadow Women’s Club, Stones Creek Church, Meadow Athletic Association, McDonalds of Benson, Courtney Barefoot and Mary Michael Britt, and the Meadow Woman’s Auxiliary for providing treats to our staff last week. We have a few announcements this week. The Athletic Awards program is Monday night at 6:30, our Band Concert is Thursday night 6:00, and the Meadow Talent Show is Friday night at 6:30. Good evening Meadow families. I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend. Just to follow up on our carpool process; we believe everything ran fairly smoothly last week. We understand occasionally a few vehicles have had to wait on Hwy 50. We are looking at how we can resolve this issue. We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation with this change. Our athletic events for next week are, baseball, softball, and soccer play home against Benson Monday, home against Princeton Tuesday, and home against NJMS Thursday. If you arrive during the carpool process, please turn left into the bus parking lot to park for games. On Tuesday our 4th graders will attend a performance by the NC Symphony and on Friday our 8th graders visit Fort FIsher. It’s that time of year we begin really buckling down for the end of year assessments. Parents, it is vital for your child to be present during all of the academic day. Early dismissal takes away learning opportunities and test preparation. We encourage our students to be present and active learners. As we look to the end of the year, here are a few dates to be aware of: EOG testing for grades 3-8 is May 23, 24, 28, 29. Students absent will have to make testing during the remaining school days. June 4 is our K-7 Award day and more information will be shared. Last, 8th grade promotion ceremony is June 5.

Good evening Meadow families. I hope everyone had an awesome weekend. We have a lot going on at Meadow this week. First, we begin our new afternoon carpool pattern Monday. Everyone will enter campus by the bus parking lot and proceed to pick up students in front of the school. It is single file from Hwy 50 to the gym. Once in the bus parking lot, cars can begin to double line. Noone will be allowed to park in front of the school for carpool. For those arriving early, we will have traffic cones for stopping points. We have sent out information through social media and have a map and directions posted on our website. Please inform whoever picks up your child about the new process. It will take all of us time to get used to the new process. However, we feel this will be the safest for all families and community members. Please be patient as we work together over the coming weeks. Second, athletic events for the week are as follows. Our Baseball, Soccer, and Softball play at home against Four Oaks Monday, at NJMS on Wednesday, and at Selma on Thursday. Our Track team has a meet at Princeton on Tuesday. Third, our First Priority clubs meet Wednesday at 7:30 am. Elementary school will meet in the Media Center and Middle School will meet in Mrs. Stephenson’s classroom. Last, the Little Miss Meadow pageant is on Saturday evening in the gym at 7:00pm.

Good evening Meadow Families. I hope everyone has enjoyed their break. Just a reminder, tomorrow (Monday), is a teacher workday and we are still closed to students. We look forward to welcoming our students back on Tuesday. There are just a few announcements for this week. On Thursday our 6th grade students will have a field trip and on Friday our 7th grade students have a field trip. Please pay attention to the weather and dress accordingly. On Thursday our Softball, Soccer, and Baseball team play at home against Princeton. Last, you will notice new markings on our pavement as well as a new connector between the bus lot and main lot. In the coming weeks we will send out information about our new afternoon carpool process. Our goal is to start our new process the week of April 22. Be on the lookout for information sent home with students, on our social media, and a phone message. This pattern will create a safer process for our families and community.

Good afternoon parents. We wanted to let you know that after much consideration, weather watching, and communication with Bush Gardens, we feel it is in the best interest and safety of our students and staff to postpone the fieldtrip. Therefore, 5th grade will not be traveling to Bush Gardens on Thursday. We are working with the charter bus company to find an open date to reschedule the fieldtrip. Bush Gardens is allowing us to reschedule as the tickets are good through November 2024. We will update you on the rescheduled date once we have confirmation from the charter bus company.

Good evening Meadow families. I hope you all have had a great weekend. Congratulations to the Pack fans, well played. We have several announcements for this week. Our Soccer, Softball, and Baseball teams play at Four Oaks Monday and home with Selma Thursday. Track will be at SJHS on Wednesday. Third grade has a field trip Wednesday and fourth grade has a field trip on Friday. Also, on Friday from 6:00-8:00, we will host Noche Latina for our Hispanic families. There is a new club coming to Meadow School. First Priority is a club that is student-led and focuses on skills like leadership, integrity, character, teamwork, time management, organization, social skills, and public speaking through Christian principles. Their goal is to make a positive impact in our school and community. This club will be for students in grades 3-5, but siblings are also welcome to attend. They will meet each Wednesday, beginning this week, March 20th in the Media Center at 7:30 am. Please drop them off at the entrance at the front of the school. Students will have time to go eat breakfast afterwards. Parents must fill out a permission slip in advance in order for their children to attend. These permission slips contain a QR code and will be sent home with students at their request. Please fill them out and if you have any questions, please contact our teacher sponsor, Joanna Hendershott. Thank you for your support of Meadow School and we look forward to seeing you soon.
