Good evening Meadow Families. We hope you all enjoyed your weekend. We have several announcements for the week. This week is the beginning of our Book Fair. Students will have an opportunity to visit the book fair to get ideas of what books interest them. On Tuesday March 12, we will have a Family night for the book fair from 3:30-6:00. Our Spring athletics is getting started with baseball/softball/soccer at home against Neuse Charter Monday. The track team will have a meet at SJHS on Tuesday, and our softball/soccer/baseball will play at Smithfield on Thursday.
We have extended the Yearbook sales until Friday March 15. This is a great way to capture all that has happened at Meadow School during the 2024/2025 school year.

To begin with, we celebrate Read Across America Week with several dress up days-Monday, dress like favorite Dr. Seuss character, Wednesday, Green and Gold, Thursday Bunny ears, and Friday Dress EGGcellent because it is Spring Pictures day too!
Tuesday is a Workday, no school for students.Our Spring sports begin this week too. Track has a meet at Princeton on Wednesday March 6 and our Baseball/Softball/Soccer teams play at Princeton on Thursday March 7.
Yearbook sales have been extended to March 15.
Monday, SJHS will hold open house for 8th grade, rising 9th grade students. There is an info session in the gym beginning at 6:30. Also, SJHS Counselors will visit 8th grade students March 6 during our school day.

Good evening Meadow Families. We hope everyone has had a great weekend. Friday was an outstanding day celebrating with our students and families. It was truly great to see everyone at school.
Just a couple of announcements for the week. On Wednesday Feb. 28, Progress Reports will go home with students. Friday, a team of Middle School students will participate in the Battle of the Books contest. Last, on Saturday, JCPS will host a Job Fair at SSS High School from 9:00-12:00. Our school system will be recruiting for all positions, teaching, TA’s, Custodial, Maintenance, etc. If you have any interest in working for JCPS, come to SSS on Saturday and explore all the opportunities.

Last night, JCPS celebrated the 2024 Leading with the Heart recipients!💝
The event, inspired by Mike Krzyzewski’s book, “Leading with the Heart,” recognizes those staff members throughout the school system that demonstrate leadership, compassion, and heart on a daily basis. One person from every school as well as central services was nominated by their peers, because of their unwavering commitment and dedication to their role.
We honor the 53 amazing members of the JCPS family for their work that clearly does not go unnoticed! Thank you!✨

Good evening Meadow Families. We hope everyone has enjoyed your weekend. We ended last week with our Middle School dance and it was success. Also, it was great seeing so many of you at the PTO Bingo night. I believe a great time was had by all. THank you for supporting Meadow School and our community.
Announcements for the week are as follows. Monday is a Teacher Workday. School is closed for students. Tuesday is the beginning of tryouts for Spring Sports-Softball, Girls Soccer, Baseball, and Track. Students need to have a current physical and concussion form to tryout. All sports end at 5:30 except for Track which ends at 5:00. Friday is awards day. Families received notification with report cards if your child is receiving a mid-year award. K-1 is 8:45-9:45, 6-8 10:00-11:00, 4-5 11:15-12:15, and 2-3 12:30-1:30. Last, Yearbooks are on sale for all students for the remainder of February. Yearbooks cost $35.

Samantha Cabrera earned a February 2024 Character Education Award!
She is the president of Meadow School's Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) club, and manages the girls basketball and soccer teams. Cabrera is also an active participant in the Reading Buddies Club, which visits a first grade class each week to read with younger students. She is the epitome of a loyal friend and student.

Good evening Meadow Families. I apologize for not sending the message on Sunday night, I had my dates confused. You were probably interested in the Super Bowl anyways!
This week afterschool tutoring begins for students that received information from their teachers. Parents, you were asked to return a form if your child is attending. Tutoring ends at 4:45, please have your child picked up by 5:00.
Friday is a busy afternoon and evening. Our Middle School students have a Dance from 3:30-5:30. Parents are asked to arrive prior to 5:30 to pick up your child. Also, from 6:00- 8:00pm that evening our PTO will have BINGO night in our cafeteria. Please support our PTO as this is a fundraiser for their budgeted items this year.
Last, if students receive Valentine gifts (balloons especially) they may not be allowed to ride the bus. Parents, we ask that you save these special gifts for when students arrive home in the evening.

Good evening Meadow Families. I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. We have a few announcements for this week. Report cards go home tomorrow, Monday Feb. 5. On Tuesday we have Hispanic Parent night. Staff will provide information to our Hispanic families in their native language. Friday will be make-up pictures from the fall. These are individual pictures for our students that will be in our yearbook as well. We celebrate Mrs. Denning and Mrs. Price this week for National School Counselors week. Also this week, we support our FFA students during FFA Week.

On Wednesday Jan. 31 Class pictures will be taken. These will be in our school Yearbook. Some future dates you should know about, Report Cards go homie Feb. 5, we will have a Hispanic Parent Night Feb. 6, and PTO has a Bingo Night Feb. 16 from 6pm-8pm in the cafeteria.

The only announcements we have are 1- our basketball teams play at home Monday against Benson and Wednesday against North Johnston and 2-our PTO has a Spirit Night Wednesday at Meadow Market from 4-8 and they will honor dine in or take out. Please support a local business and our PTO by getting dinner at the Market Wednesday.

Under the guidance of local emergency officials and out of an abundance of caution, JCPS will operate on a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

Good evening MEadow families. I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable weekend. This week we have basketball games Monday at Neuse Charter and Thursday home against Smithfield. Tickets for the Neuse Charter game must be purchased online through GoFan. Neuse does not accept cash payment. On Friday our 7th and 8th grade students have a field trip to hear a renowned storyteller. Last, Tuesday is Law Enforcement Appreciation day. Please show your support of all law enforcement personnel and especially our Resource Office Deputy Mathews. We are grateful for the impact he has made on our school community. Finally, our students will begin middle of the year assessments this week to help gather data on their progress. This will help us determine any additional support students may need as we head in to the last half of the year. Remember, MEadow success begins with ME!
Good afternoon. We were notified today that Princeton has construction in the front of their school. Guests will need to park in the back near the football field. There should be signs directing you to the gym. In case there are not, you will walk between buildings to the gym entrance. We will try to upload their picture to our website as well.
