First Priority is packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas child. If you would like to participate, please bring items (like socks, combs, toothbrushes, small toys, gloves, school supplies) to Mrs. Mooring or Mrs. Brown's room by the end of the week.
Winter sports tryouts begin Monday. For tryout times and locations go to the Athletics link on the school website. All final forms must be completed and an updated physical must be on file with Ms Burns. Contact the coach of the sport you are interested in if you have any questions.
Monday, October 30, is a Required County Workday for Teachers. Students will not report to school on that day. Please make time to get caught up your reading or on any work you may be missing.
Congratulations to the Lady Panthers Tennis team on their 5-4 victory over Martin County in the 2nd round of the NCHSAA 2A dual team state championships. Winning their singles matches were Emily Scott, Sydney Daughtry, and Camden Ford. Winning their doubles matches were the teams of Emily Scott/Peyton Ford and Sydney Daughtry/Camden Ford. The victory improves their overall record to 12 and 6. They will play the 3rd round tomorrow at Research Triangle Charter School. Match will start at 3:30 and be at Elmira Avenue Park in Durham.
Congratulations to Emily Scott on finishing 3rd and qualifying for the state championships at the 2A East Regional this past weekend. She won 3 out of her 4 matches to advance. The state championships will be held this coming Friday at Ting Park in Holly Springs. Emily will start play at 9am. Good Luck Emily!!!

Emily won the Neuse 6 2A Conference Championship without losing a game in any set. She starts postseason today with a record of 16 and 3. Come out and watch Emily and all the Lady Panthers today as they host the 1st round of the dual team state championships vs West Bladen. Match time is 4pm.
