Congratulations to the Lady Panthers Tennis team on their outstanding performance at the Neuse 6 2A Conference tournament. Special Congratulations to Emily Scott who won the Neuse 6 2A Singles Conference Championship. Also, a special congratulations to the team of Sydney Daughtry and Camden Ford for winning the Neuse 6 2A Doubles Conference Championship! These three ladies along with Maryalis Jimenez, who finished third in the singles tournament, have qualified for the 2A East Regional on October 20th. The Lady Panthers completed the "sweep" this year by winning the team conference championship, the singles championship, and the doubles championship.

Anyone interested in being a part of this year's color guard needs to attend rehearsal this Thursday's rehearsal from 4-6 so we can plan on how you will fit in with the routine with the marching band's show and for parades. Continuing our National Principals Month celebration, we recognize North Johnston High Principal Belinda Proctor! Ms. Proctor is in her first year as principal at North Johnston High, but is no stranger to JCPS. When she was asked to fill role of principal, she was both honored and humbled.

There will be a mandatory parent/student driver's ed meeting on Tuesday, October 24th in the North Johnston cafeteria promptly at 6:30 pm. This meeting is for any student who has completed 8th grade and will be 15 years old or older by April 24, 2024.
The 2nd Senior Trip payment and green permission form are due this Friday, Oct 6 to Mrs. Barnes in room 604.
Seniors, please check into your club tomorrow so teachers can take attendance. We will make an announcement to call you to the Auditorium for the meeting with Herff-Jones about caps and gowns.
The Marching Band will be performing at Cleveland High School this Saturday alongside 25 other bands in competition. Please encourage them and come out to cheer them on as they take the field at 3PM for our first competition this season!
See You At The Pole!! Tomorrow morning at 6:45, students and staff are invited to join together at the flag pole in front of the school for prayer. This is a national event, where schools from across the nation will gather on this same morning. Everyone is welcome! Hope to see you there!
