Good evening, I wanted to share some important reminders and updates for the upcoming week. The Sixth Grade Awards Ceremony will be held Tuesday, June 4th at 8:30 AM. The Seventh Grade Awards Ceremony is Wednesday, June 5th at 8:30 AM. Our Eighth Grade Promotion and Awards Ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 6th beginning at 9:00 AM. All eighth grade students received a letter on Tuesday, May 21st with important information, including ticket information. Parents and guests must have a ticket to attend the promotion ceremony. Eighth grade students who have returned their letter will receive their requested tickets for the event on Tuesday, June 4th. All Awards Ceremonies will be held in the gym. Parents and guests should plan to park in the back of the building in the bus parking lot. Please do not plan to arrive before 8:05 AM each day due to the arrival of bus riders. Please note that Thursday, June 6th is an early dismissal day for students, and school will end at 1:05 PM. As a reminder, students received their End of Grade Score Report last Thursday or Friday. Please be sure to ask your child for his or her report. All students will also receive their final report card on the last day of school, which will include other important information. Students should return all library books, textbooks, and school borrowed items to school as soon as possible. Please be reminded that students who were not proficient on their EOG tests have an opportunity to return to school on Friday, June 7th for remediation. Any student who was not proficient in an area is invited to retest to improve their score and scholastic record. Please note that breakfast and lunch will be provided during remediation and retesting. Normal bus routes and pick up times will also be used for remediation and retesting. Students will dismiss at 1:05 on the remediation and retesting days. Also, yearbooks will be distributed tomorrow, Monday, June 3rd, to any student who has previously purchased a yearbook. We do have a limited number of yearbooks available for purchase at $20.00 each. If a student would like to purchase a yearbook, he or she should bring the money this week and see Mrs. Bridget Brown in the front lobby during homeroom or in her classroom on the front hallway. We look forward to seeing you at our Awards Day ceremonies this week. As always, thanks for your continued support of North Johnston Middle School. Please visit our school website for any additional information.

Greetings North Johnston Middle Students, Families, and Staff! I wanted to share some important information and reminders with our Jaguar community. Today marks the first day of the fourth nine weeks grading period. It is important that students continue to attend school daily and complete all assignments in a timely manner. Our End of Grade testing is quickly approaching, and our teachers will begin to review in a few short weeks. Jaguar Academy continues to be offered each Tuesday from 3:15-5:15 pm for any student to receive targeted assistance in reading and/or math. If you have any specific questions about Jaguar Academy, please contact the front office. Students received spring picture packages today if they had their picture taken. The deadline to purchase any of the pictures or return the picture package is Monday, April 22nd. Checks for the pictures should be made payable directly to the company as directed on the package. In addition, the NJMS PTA is sponsoring a Spring Fundraiser beginning this week. Fundraiser information was distributed to all students today. There are various items to purchase from the “Gifts and Things” fundraiser event. Orders can be placed online or by returning the order form and money to school. All orders must be submitted online or to school no later than Monday, April 22nd. Some items can be purchased online only. Please ask your child for the fundraiser envelope for more information. As a reminder, report cards will be sent home with all students on Monday, April 15th. As always, please visit our school’s website for updated information and dates. Last night, JCPS celebrated the 2024 Leading with the Heart recipients!💝 The event, inspired by Mike Krzyzewski’s book, “Leading with the Heart,” recognizes those staff members throughout the school system that demonstrate leadership, compassion, and heart on a daily basis. One person from every school as well as central services was nominated by their peers, because of their unwavering commitment and dedication to their role. We honor the 53 amazing members of the JCPS family for their work that clearly does not go unnoticed! Thank you!✨ Stay tuned for an event recap video... #ILeadWithMyHeart
