Jose Guerrero Pernia is our next November Character Education Award recipient!
A fifth grade student at West Clayton Elementary, Pernia is a well rounded student who has a love for learning. He takes ownership when he makes a mistake, and is proud of himself when he masters a skill. He takes pride in his work and relationships, and his love for learning is contagious. He wants to be a soccer player when he grows up but if that does not work out he thinks he would like to be a banker because he LOVES math!
Keep up the great work Jose Guerrero Pernia!🎇

JCPS Strategic Plan Survey
What are your hopes and aspirations for our school district? That’s the question that Johnston County Public Schools is hoping you can help answer as we launch our strategic planning process to chart the course for our school district over the next five years.
Over the next eight months, JCPS is partnering with RTI International’s Center for Education Services to create a strategic plan that reflects the needs and goals of our students, families, and community.
With that in mind, we’re asking students, JCPS educators and staff, parents/guardians, and other community members to complete an online questionnaire around what’s next for our schools and district. Please take 3 minutes to complete this brief, anonymous questionnaire to provide your insight on the district’s future direction and priorities.
Your voice will be instrumental in establishing the direction for our district. Thank you for your participation and commitment to a great Johnston County Public Schools!
