Good Evening Bulldogs,
I wanted to send out a few quick reminders that will help us make sure that our arrival process is as safe and effective as possible. Students may enter the building starting at 8:25 am. Please do not drop students off prior to the bell ringing and adults being present to welcome them. Please use our two car rider lines for morning drop off. It has been brought to my attention that a good number of parents are parking in our parking spots and then walking students to the sidewalks. With so many cars moving at a time, it's really important to limit parking lot foot traffic as much as possible. We also need these parking spots for our teachers so that they can get in and be ready to welcome your children each morning. Lastly, if your child plans to eat breakfast in the cafeteria, it's important that they arrive no later than 8:45. Our tardy bell rings at 8:55 and class begins! We don't want students missing out on important instruction or starting their day off feeling rushed. We appreciate your help in these matters.

Attention all 4th and 5th graders and their parents/guardians!
Battle of the Books is a book club for 4th and 5th graders. Our team-members work on reading books from the NC School Library Media Association Battle of the Books list, and then we compete against other Johnston County schools in February to see who knows the most about those books.
If your child enjoys reading or competing, this could be a great opportunity for them! Being on our BOB Team does require commitment. Students are required to be present at our weekly practices. They also have to commit to reading at least five books. We meet once a week on Thursdays from 3:45-4:45 starting October 5th.

For those interested, we will be meeting at the flagpole at 8:00 am tomorrow morning for See You At The Pole. This is a time of prayers for students, staff, family, and friends.
Hello WCES family!!
I just wanted to start off by sincerely apologizing for not being able to have the meeting as scheduled last Thursday. My family (all four of us) came down with a stomach bug on Thursday morning so it was a very last minute decision to postpone. I wish I could have been there! I am so sorry for any frustration this may have caused!
For ours,and Mrs Barnes' schedule we could not make an in person meeting happen in the next two weeks, We have decided to do a Zoom meeting tomorrow night at 7pm. I realize this is last minute, but we will record the meeting and I will have it emailed to you all by the end of the week for those who could not make it! I'm attaching our agenda, proposed budget, and fall dates to know for the meeting!
