Student Council: The week of December 2nd-6th is our Winter Spirit week. Monday, December 2nd is Grinch Day get "mean and green" with your outfit. Tuesday, December 3rd is Ugly sweater day. Wednesday, December 4th is Dress as your favorite holiday movie or song. Thursday, December 5th Anything but, a winter holiday. Friday, December 6th Dress in your favorite holiday PJ's.
Ms. Beasley& Ms. Blackman: Congratulations to the HOSA Club on attending Regional Competitions in Greenville, NC on Tuesday, November, 19th! All students did an amazing job in their divisions and representing Cleveland. Congratulations to the following students who placed: Vicky Zeng= 3rd place- Medical Math. Dana Montecillo-Olalde 2nd Place World Health Disparities. Logan Edwards= 2nd Place Health Career Photography. Lauren St. A'mour= 2nd Place Prepared Speaking. Jayla Kearney= 1st Place Extemporaneous Writing. Several students placed in the top 5 in their division. We are proud of each of you!

Coach White: The Cleveland Women's Basketball Team picked up a win in their 1st game of the year/ 55-17 over South Johnston. The Rams were led by 20points from Lia Dunn +16 points from Nevaeh Cannon. They are back on the court tomorrow night at home against Knightdale. Lets be Sure to Pack the gym! Mr. Capps: Congratulations to the Cleveland FFA Tool Identification, Creed Speaking an Extemporaneous Public Speaking teams who competed yesterday. The Tool ID team placed 1st and will be moving on to state convention Team members are Ayden Capps, Meredith Collins, Palmer Hodges, Sunni Johnson, Wells Sholar and Matthew Truelove. Ayden and Sunni both received a perfect score. Ayden Capps also placed 2nd in the Creed competition and will be moving onto regional competition. Preston Sharp placed 4th in Extemporaneous public speaking. Congratulations to them all!

Coach McIver/Wrestling: Congratulations to Ibrahim Larag and Addison Vindigni for placing 1st . Keyara Torres and Abby Brewer for placing 2nd. Julianna Vindigni and Anthony Heron for placing 3rd this weekend at the Wolverine Challenge!
Mr. Miller: Homeroom Advisory Teachers: Chorus students will be delivering a form to you during 1st or 2nd block. Once your group completes the survey, each advisory will be entered into a drawing for a Pizza Party and Each teacher will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gas card.
Ms. Pearce: Caswell applications are due by 2:30 Tuesday to Pearce in 226. Late applications will automatically be wait listed.
Ms. Barnhart: Juniors will have a class meeting in the auditorium on Wednesday at 8:30. You will be called down from 2nd block. Bring the PreAct score report that you receive in Advisory today.
DECA will be hosting a toy drive for the holidays. All toys donated can be dropped off in the main office, room 203 or 237.
Attention all BSU members! This is a reminder to check your school emails for a message from your club secretary about sign-ups to bring supplies for the BSU Thanksgiving party! The party will be this Friday during Ramped up A and B. There will be chicken wings, drinks, music, and fun! Please contact Mrs. Myers in room 701 or Ms.Huffman in room 616 for further details.

Mr. Rainville: Congratulations to the 42 of our band students that auditioned and were selected for Johnston County Public Schools High School All County honor band last night!! Cleveland High School once again, had the most representation in the band of any high school in the county! We are so proud of all of our band students and congratulations to those that were selected for the all county band last night!! You make us proud !
The Curriculum, Instruction, and Accountability ELA Team would like to recognize Ms. Patty Sharp as the November 2024 ELA Super Star Teacher of the Month. Ms. Sharp is an English 1 teacher at Cleveland High .
Ms. Sharp is doing great things in her classroom and for our students to ensure that they are getting what they need to be successful at their current level and those to come.
We certainly appreciate what she is doing in Johnston County Public Schools! Congratulations Ms. Sharp!!!

Congrats to the Varsity Football team on completing another undefeated regular season and securing the school's 11th conference title in football. The team will be in action a week from friday when they host the 1st round of the NCHSAA playoffs.
Also thank you to all the fan that came out friday night. It was a record crowd, you were loud,proud and well behaved!

Coach Riley: Congratulations to the JV Football Team! They completed their season 8-1 with a 20-18 win over Clayton last night. Come out this Friday for the CBS 17 Bojangles Blitz Tailgate. The first 100 students get a free chicken biscuit and more! Plus, show your Ram spirit on Live TV with CBS 17. The tailgate party starts at 5:30pm in front of the main gym. Mr. Miller : The CvHS Fine Arts Boosters are doing a Poinsettia fundraiser . We will have locally grown Red & White Poinsettia s for sale. The cost is $8.00. You can see a Chorus student, Mr. Miller, Ms. Brown or a Parent CvHs Fine Arts Booster to make a purchase; you can buy one to be donated to a local senior center as part of our service project. Sales run through November 8th. Cash and checks are methods of payment. Make checks payable to CVHS Fine Arts Boosters.

The Cross Country Team competed at the 4A East Regional Championships this weekend, finishing out their season as a varsity team. In a very competitive field, Tigist Siler, Seth Begley, and Kylen Bergman each finished inside the top 25 and qualified for the 4A State Championship this weekend. We wish these 3 individuals the best of luck!
Ram Library Announcements: Attention Students and Staff: It is time for the 4th Annual Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos Sugar Skull Contest. Visit the library to grab your choice of sugar skull to decorate. Art is due by 10/31 and winner will be announced on November 1st!

You can still apply to over 50 colleges in NC for free this weekend. Be sure to use the CFNC.org website for your application. Ms. Barnhart: Attention Seniors! Admissions reps from JCC will be in the Media Center this morning from 7:30-9 am. Get permission from your teacher to come down to ask them questions, get help on your application, and pick up some swag! Ms. Haynes, the CCP Director, will be at our school today starting at 10 am. If you have questions for her, please stop by Student Services after 10 am.
